Until 1998 the UEFA Cup Final was contested over two legs and this programme is from the first leg at Anfield, which was a 3-2 victory for Liverpool, having been 2-0 down inside 15 minutes Liverpool had a rampant 2nd half which ensured they they went into the 2nd leg on top with goals Kennedy, Case and Kevin Keegan. Liverppol would go on to lift the trophy after a 1-1 draw in Belgium and a 4-3 aggregate score.
