Details - The 1959 FA Charity Shield was played on 15 August 1959 at Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton, between Wolverhampton Wanderers, the reigning First Division champions, and Nottingham Forest, the holders of the FA Cup. In front of their home crowd, Wolves produced a strong display to win 3–1, with goals from Peter Broadbent, Jimmy Murray, and Norman Deeley, while Roy Dwight
scored for Forest. The victory gave Wolves their second Charity Shield success and reflected their dominance in English football during the late 1950s under manager Stan Cullis.
